NVEM & NVEM-A Certifications

NVEM & NVEM-A Certifications

NEPA offers two levels of professional emergency management certification to advance your career in Nevada's emergency preparedness field.

Nevada Emergency Management - Associate (NVEM-A)

Associate Level Certification

This certification recognizes individuals who possess knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform within a comprehensive emergency management program but may lack work experience. NVEM-A applicants must have at least one year of working experience where at least 25% of the applicant's duties are related to all-hazards emergency management.

Nevada Emergency Management (NVEM)

Professional Level Certification

This certification recognizes individuals who possess advanced knowledge, skills, and experience to perform effectively within a comprehensive emergency management program. NVEM applicants must have at least three years of working experience where at least 25% of the applicant's duties are related to all-hazards emergency management.
