The Nevada Emergency Preparedness Association is soliciting session proposals and nominations for the Nevada Preparedness Summit, the premier emergency management conference in the State of Nevada, being held at the Palace Station in Las Vegas, NV from Febrary 26 - 28, 2024. We encourage you to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to share your ideas, knowledge, and expertise with this important audience.  

Please remember that all sessions require a well-conceived presentation, and a great deal of rehearsal!

Deadline for submissions is December 22nd. Applicants will be notified of their application approval by the end of 2023.

  • Your final presentation will be pre-loaded on the laptop in the session room.
  • An on-site speaker liaison from the Summit Committee to introduce your session and handle all on-site logistical needs.

Speaker Responsibilities

  • All speakers are required to use the required slide template provided to you by the Summit Committee Chair for your presentation at the Nevada Preparedness Summit.
  • Submit final presentation along with any handouts or reference materials by February 16, 2024.
  • Submit updated bio(s) and introduction for session, if needed, by February 16, 2024.
  • Register for the conference.
  • Bring your presentation in final viewing format on a USB flash drive as a back-up to the conference.
  • Reserve your own accommodations. Information will be posted under the Hotel and Travel pages of the conference website when available.
  • Any changes to the topic of the accepted presentation must be approved by the Summit Committee Chair.
  • Any substitution or addition of speakers from the original submitted proposal must be approved by the Summit Committee Chair.
  • Breakout sessions last 60 minutes. You need to allow time for questions and answers prior to the end of session, 45 minutes of your presentation and 15 minutes of Q&A with the audience.
  • Absolutely no commercials! You may put your contact information, logo, and organization information on the first and last slide only.
  • All final presentations are subject to the approval of the Summit Committee.
